We recommend this kit from Harbor Freight to be used with the S3A12 as it is perfectly sized for this charge controller. You simply use the S3A12 as the charge controller instead of the one provided in the kit for superior charging and longevity. You can still hook up the battery to the DC outlet box to make use of those ports. Although this kit is mentioned often as a portable kit, the 3 panels and frame probably weight about 45 pounds so is not as portable as we would like. But it is perfect for sitting in your yard to charge up 12 volt batteries or to just have fun learning about the proper way to design a solar system according to the book Solar Secrets. You

recommend that you use the 12V 35ah deep cycle battery from Harbor
Freight with this solar panel kit and the S3A12. Flooded cells
are better, but if you need to carry it around, it is safer to

This panel is highly portable and light weight. You can roll it up around a large diameter cardboard tube that you can find at a local shipping center and put a strap around it to take with you. With endcaps on the tube, you can put the S3A12 charge controller in it as well as all other connectors, etc... That will then fit into a duffle bag for camping trips, etc... 105Watt Flexible Amorphous Solar Panel PICTURE COMING SOON... This panel is flexible and relatively light weight. You can roll it up around a large diameter cardboard tube and put straps around it to take with you. The S3A12 Tesla Solar Tracker 5 is sized perfectly for a 50 watt solar panel system and a 35ah battery.

The S10A12 Tesla Solar Tracker 5 is sized for about 120-150 watt solar panel system and a 100ah battery. The S10A12 can handle 10 amps so the 105 watt panel and the 52 watt panel above can be used together for a total of 157 watts in order to max out the S10A12.
